TORNEIOS DO ESGA CANCELADOS EM 2020 E ADIADOS PARA 2021

ESGA tournaments POSTPONED to 2021

 

In good collaboration with the organizing Associations AGIS in Italy and ASSGF in France we came – due to ‘force majeure’ - to the decision to cancel the tournaments for 2020, and to postpone the ESGA tournaments to next year 2021.   

This means that the Associations concerned are making every effort, as of now, so that these meetings can take place:

* In France, early August 2021 in Paris - Versailles area for the Senior Championship and the Cup, respectively at “Golf National” and “Saint-Nom La Bretèche”.

* In Italy, end of June, beginning July 2021. At the Golfclub Montecchia (Padua) for Masters Gross and SuperMasters, while at the Golfclub Frassanelle (Rovelon) the Masters Net will be played. Both Golfcourses are situated in the Provence of Veneto.

Confirmation and details will follow in due time.

 

The main reasons for this mutual decision are:

Health in these times should be the main focus of every-one, Golf is important but only secondary

It is totally unclear when this virus is under control and how long it takes to extinguish

According to a short survey it is quite clear that a number of potential participants to the tournaments prefer to stay at home in their own country for the time being, also if the virus dies out.

Consequently it is uncertain anyway how many participants would be coming

In short, ESGA tournaments are a gathering of friends, in which coming together, play competitive golf, and having fun and friendship are the main drivers for the events, and it is clear that under the present circumstances this is not the case.

 

We do hope that you understand and support our decision, and if you have any questions towards the organizing Associations you can refer directly to them.
